Overview
C69300 (CuZn21Si3P), also known as a lead-free “eco brass”, is a high-silicon brass developed as a drop-in replacement for leaded free-cutting brass such as C36000 in drinking-water applications. It combines a machinability rating of roughly 80% of C36000 with tensile strength comparable to or exceeding standard leaded brass, outstanding dezincification and stress-corrosion-cracking resistance, and full compliance with global lead-free legislation. Typical uses include water meters, valve bodies, faucet components, plumbing fittings and connectors for potable water systems.
